| Total Parts Plus announces the power of "Part Alias TechnologyTM" |
| |
Fort Walton Beach, FL - March 25, 2008 - Today, Total Parts Plus unveiled its unprecedented Part Alias TechnologyTM. An advanced and proprietary algorithm, Part Alias TechnologyTM puts an end to the inevitable unknown part number within a Bill of Material (BOM) or Approved Vendors List (AVL).
The Part Alias TechnologyTM is a high performance analysis which provides a tool to cleanse and identify part number matches for unknown parts. This new enhancement to the Parts Plus application eliminates incomplete reporting and analysis due to these unknowns. The user-friendly interface ensures that all AVL/BOM parts are recognized for attributes such as obsolescence status, lifecycle, PCN's, secondary sources, RoHS compliance status and declaration information.
"Up until now, without an exact match or costly, time consuming manual cleansing, no service could offer 100% coverage on all of your parts. Putting aside failed match attempts to erroneous and incomplete part data within the BOM or AVL, what's the probability that any one service has all of the world's components or all of yours, for that matter? It's unlikely and, thus, the unknown part," stated Peter Robinson, Vice President of Total Parts Plus. "Part Alias TechnologyTM connects known obsolescence and material content management information to all of your parts whether it be for manufacturability analysis, RoHS declaration or a quick turn around quote." |
